What event security covers
Event security is the discipline of keeping audiences, performers, staff, and assets safe at a live event — without disrupting the experience the organiser worked so hard to create. It runs from the pre-event risk assessment and crowd flow planning, through ticket scanning and access control, to the on-the-night work of stewarding, search points, VIP escorts, and incident response.
We Secure Services has supported events of every shape and size across the UK — concerts, festivals, corporate galas, conferences, awards ceremonies, sporting fixtures, and private functions. Each event is different. The challenges of a 200-person red-carpet evening are not the same as a 30,000-capacity outdoor festival, and our planning reflects that.
Our event security teams are SIA-licensed door supervisors and stewards, trained in conflict management, search procedures, evacuation protocols, and counter-terror awareness. We work alongside event organisers, venue managers, the police, local authorities, and licensing bodies to deliver an event security plan that satisfies your obligations under the Licensing Act, your safety advisory group, and Martyn's Law where applicable.

For large events, 6-12 weeks ahead is ideal — it gives us time for a full risk assessment, planning, and SAG (Safety Advisory Group) engagement. For smaller events, 2-4 weeks is usually enough. We can also accommodate short-notice and emergency cover within 24-48 hours where capacity allows.
